Description
The Gorge Trail in Summit Metro Parks runs along halfway up the ravine it is named for, as opposed to the Glens Trail, which runs lower, closer to the water level.
Shortly into the hike is a very straight, slightly downhill stretch of the trail. The gorge reservoir is out of sight to the left in this view, but the picnic shelter slightly above it is barely visible through the trees, now that October has removed many of the leaves.
To the right (North) is a steep slope with beautiful rock formations.
A short hike ahead is the Old Maid’s Kitchen (also known as Mary Campbell's Cave.)

You have many fine pieces in your portfolio of your works, and I am happy you chose this one to submit for possible featuring in our group on the homepage. It now has reached that goal of being featured in our group, a family of friends and fine artists of the Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery Group. Congratulations on this fine accomplishment
