Artist's Description
The Purdue Mall Water Sculpture (sometimes called the Engineering Fountain) was designed by Robert Youngman and donated by the Class of '39. It was dedicated in 1989 and sits in the center of the Engineering Mall near Hovde Hall and the Mechanical Engineering building.
It stands 38 feet tall and pumps nearly 600 gallons of water per minute into the air. At night it is lit up and performs a 20 minute orchestrated light show.
About Dennis Lundell
Hello and welcome to my imagination! My interest in computers started back in college in the days of punch cards and led me to a career in engineering. My passion for photography started with film cameras and a portrait that earned a blue ribbon at the county fair. Now, after a 42 year career designing machines in the U.S. Midwest, I am putting my artistic side first and trading patents for pixels, ergonomics for aesthetics and practicality for pleasure. Please browse through my work and hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!
