Artist's Description
A digital painting based on a series of photos taken on an overcast, cold, fall day. The Canadian (Horseshoe) Falls fills the air with a cold mist and puts out a continuous thundering roar as every second approximately 100,000 cubic feet of water falls 165 feet into the basin below. The bank on the right is Canada, with Goat Island on the left side. It is one of the most impressive experiences in nature.
About Dennis Lundell
Hello and welcome to my imagination! My interest in computers started back in college in the days of punch cards and led me to a career in engineering. My passion for photography started with film cameras and a portrait that earned a blue ribbon at the county fair. Now, after a 42 year career designing machines in the U.S. Midwest, I am putting my artistic side first and trading patents for pixels, ergonomics for aesthetics and practicality for pleasure. Please browse through my work and hopefully you will enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it! Great Shot Dennis! What camera do you use?
Dennis Lundell replied:
Thanks, Andrew... And thanks for the feature in the Niagra Falls ON Canada Group! I took this back in 2003 when all I had was a 2.1 megapixel Fuji camera. I used several shots and stitched them together.
